Harmon Hall 

Women's Residence Hall | 817-300-0267

Harmon Hall is a women’s residence hall that houses 160 students. Any female student from freshman to senior status is eligible to live in this hall. There are two lobbies available for gathering, one on the first floor, in which men can visit the residents, and the other is on the second floor and is only open to the residents of Harmon. In Harmon, there is a study lounge that has a pool table, air hockey table, ping pong table, vending machine, and a lounge where students can spend time either studying or hanging out. Many of the rooms in Harmon Hall offer a view of the pool area.

 

Health Services is also located in Harmon Hall, which is open to all students for their health needs. It can be accessed by all students through its own outside entrance.

 

All rooms come standard with the following furniture for each resident:

• Dresser  

• Mattress (twin) 

• Vanity with sink, mirrors, and drawers  

• Additional dressers and loft kits are available to rent for the year

Miller Hall

Men's Residence Hall | 817-202-6260

Miller Hall is the main men’s residence hall. All male residents under the age of 21 must reside in Miller Hall, while those over the age of 21 have their choice to remain in Miller as space permits. The current capacity for Miller Hall is 120. All rooms feature ensuite bathrooms and customizable layouts through free-floating furniture. Single rooms are available for an additional fee and only as space permits.  

 

All rooms come standard with the following furniture for each resident:

• Dresser

Meier Hall

Meier Hall is designated for female students who are 21 years old or older or who have disabilities or high-risk health issues. This hall houses 45 students. There is a lobby area where residents can host male and female visitors. During limited nighttime hours, there is a lobby monitor on duty. Many of the rooms in Meier Hall offer a view of the pool area. All rooms are double occupancy and feature ensuite bathrooms and a customizable layout through free-floating furniture. Single rooms are available for an additional fee and only as space permits.

Hadley Hall 

Men's Residence Hall | 817-202-6260

Hadley Hall offers to house male residents who are over the age of 21 and in good standing. All rooms are double occupancy and feature ensuite bathrooms and a customizable layout through free-floating furniture. Many of the rooms in Hadley Hall offer a view of the pool area. There is a lobby area with a computer and printer station, couches, and a large screen TV for viewing or gameplay. Hadley Hall also offers a kitchen for resident use. Single rooms are available for an additional fee and only as space permits.

Meal Plans

All students living in Southwestern Adventist University residence halls are required to choose a meal plan.

Basic Meal Plan

This meal plan is required for undergraduate students under the age of 22 who have 89 or fewer cumulative credit hours on their Southwestern transcript. This plan is for unlimited access to the cafeteria seven days per week.

Meal Plan 22

Undergraduate students 22 years or older, seniors (90+credit hours), or off-campus students may select either the regular Meal Plan or Meal Plan 22. Meal Plan 22 does not offer unlimited access. The student is charged by the meal for each entry to the cafeteria with a $50-per-day limit until the semester fee is used. A portion of this plan is used up each week regardless of entry into the cafeteria. Any portion of the semester fee may be spent in the Knight's Market and Grill, which offers a variety of hot meals and made-to-order sandwiches as well as breakfast items, smoothies, snacks, and beverages.

Please note these guidelines before selecting a meal plan:

• A processing fee will be assessed for any changes to meal plans after the close of registration.
• Refunds are on a pro-rata basis only when withdrawing from school or moving from the residence hall.
• Meal plans may not be shared with other students or guests.

Off-campus living must meet the following requirements and be approved by the Dean of Students:

• The student must be 22 years of age.
• The student is taking six or less credit hours.
• The student has already earned a bachelor's degree.
• The student is living with immediate relatives, such as parents, grandparents, or siblings over 24 years of age in an established residence.
• The student must be a senior with a good citizenship record, finished 90 or more credit hours, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
• Single students must live with the same gender, unless living with parents or grandparents.

As you make living-arrangement plans for the school year, please keep in mind that our priority will be to accommodate the needs of our residents under the age of 23. If space and other residential life conditions permit, we will do our best to house students over the age of 23. It is our recommendation to students who are over 25 years of age to look at off-campus, privately owned housing as a primary option. Please plan accordingly.
