Southwestern Adventist University (SWAU) is excited to announce a groundbreaking partnership with Guild, an innovative platform that connects employees with educational opportunities. This collaboration offers SWAU students access to a Direct Pay Tuition Reimbursement benefit, significantly easing financial burdens for employees of organizations affiliated with Guild as they pursue higher education.
“We are incredibly grateful to AdventHealth for facilitating this connection with Guild and for making this partnership a reality,” said Dr. Terri Gibson, Program Director- Grant-MSN Nursing Education 2025, a key figure in establishing the collaboration. She added, “This partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for students to advance their education while minimizing out-of-pocket expenses.”
Through this partnership, employee-students enrolled at SWAU will receive upfront benefits for a significant portion of their tuition and graduation-related fees at registration. All SWAU degree programs are included in this initiative, allowing students to select their academic path based on their personal and professional goals. “Students will see their tuition and required graduation fees covered within the allowable amount from Guild,” explains Gibson. “This means minimal out-of-pocket expenses, allowing students to focus on their studies rather than financial concerns.” While certain non-academic fees, like gym memberships or club dues, are not covered, the partnership fully supports essential educational expenses, including program and graduation fees.
Guild’s integration into the SWAU system ensures a smooth, hassle-free experience. Students will register for courses through SWAU’s enrollment system, and upon doing so, they will receive a sponsorship letter from Guild detailing their annual financial allocation. This letter is then shared with SWAU’s financial office to formalize the payment process. “The financial structure prioritizes scholarships and VA benefits first, followed by Guild’s allowable expenses. Students will only be responsible for any remaining balance, keeping out-of-pocket costs to a minimum,” noted Dr. Terri Gibson, Program Director- Grant-MSN Nursing Education 2025,
This partnership goes beyond education; it supports career advancement. Guild connects employee-students with programs that have the potential to impact their future careers significantly. By earning or advancing their degrees at SWAU, students can unlock new opportunities, increase their earning potential, and enhance job satisfaction.
