Financial Aid Steps
Step 1: Apply to SWAU
Before you can receive any federal or state financial aid, you must be accepted to Southwestern Adventist University.
Already applied and want to check your acceptance status? Contact our Office of Enrollment Management at 817-202-6749 or visit swau.edu/apply.
Step 2: FAFSA Application
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to find out what financial aid you qualify for.
- Start by creating your FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov (students and parents will each need one).
- Then, complete the FAFSA online at studentaid.gov.
- Be sure to include Southwestern Adventist University’s school code: 003619.
Step 3: Meet with a Counselor
Once your FAFSA is submitted and you’ve been accepted to SWAU, schedule an appointment with one of our Student Financial Services team members (links below) to walk you through the final steps.
You may be asked to complete additional forms for verification. A financial counselor will help guide you through the process, explain your award package, and answer any questions you may have.
