Understanding how your previous coursework transfers to SWAU is key to planning your academic journey. We accept academic credits from regionally accredited institutions for courses with a grade of C- or higher. However, transferred credits may not always apply directly to your degree program or general education requirements.

Key Transfer Credit Guidelines:

• All courses from community colleges will transfer as lower-division credit.
• Technical, remedial, ESL, or non-credit coursework does not transfer.
• Courses from non-accredited institutions require case-by-case evaluation and additional documentation.
• International transcripts must be evaluated by a third-party service such as World Education Services (WES).
