Cheryl is originally from California.  She has taught elementary school in California, Maryland, and Texas.  She moved to higher education after 27 years in the elementary classroom.  She joined the education department at Southwestern in 2010. 

Reading in the Elementary School, Children's Literature, Language Arts Essentials, Teaching English Language Learners, Exceptional Children, Kindergarten Methods, Programs for Young Children, Directed Student Teaching, Prep courses for Texas Certification exams.
