Gain Research Experience While Preparing for Graduate School!
Dates: July 19-August 6, 2026.
Location: Southwestern Adventist University Keene TX
What is SWAU Summer Research?
SWAU Summer Research is a three-week, intensive summer experience for undergraduate students who would like to get involved with and learn about research without the often difficult or impossible commitment of an entire summer. Designed for students in science majors to enrich their fields of study, gain insight to the world of research and boost their resume/applications for further study. This program offers an introductory research class for credit as well as an advanced research experience. Students will work closely with the researcher, enjoy fellowship with other students in their fields and benefit from the blessings of a small, Christ-centered environment.
Research Topic
Can stress change the way your body processes food? This summer, we will investigate how diet and stress alter metabolism by studying measurable biological changes in a research model, aiming to uncover early warning signs that could help prevent obesity-related health problems before they begin.
