Alvin C. Heinrich, an Oklahoma farmer stockman, was not just a pew-warming supporter of Christian education. In the 1940s, he was the driving force behind moving a country schoolhouse to Enid in order to house the church school. In the late 1970s, with the present facilities outdated and his own children past school age, he began another push to build a new two-room school with a gymnasium and kitchen facilities. This facility now stands as a tribute to the man who not only spoke for the need for Christian education but acted. Six of his eight children attended Southwestern Junior College and Academy for a total of twenty-four years.
