The Southwestern Adventist University Department of Nursing is thrilled to announce the launch of the “Durrant-Pinterich Pioneers of Nursing Education Endowment Fund.” This new initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to empowering aspiring nurses with the best possible educational opportunities.
The endowment will kick off with an initial $25,000, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of each contribution. This fund is dedicated to honoring Dr. Laurice Durrant and the late Shirley Pinterich, both of whom have made significant contributions to nursing education at SWAU. Their legacy will live on through this endowment, which is designed to support the advancement of nursing education and future nurse educators.
By contributing to this fund, you are investing in the future of nursing education and helping to ensure that dedicated nurses have the resources they need to become exceptional educators. This will, in turn, enhance the quality of care provided in our hospitals, medical facilities, and communities.
We invite you to join us in this important endeavor, making a lasting difference in the field of nursing education and supporting the future of healthcare.
To qualify to receive funds from this endowment, candidates will need to:
• Be enrolled in a SWAU Nursing Program
• Display a commitment to excellence in nursing practice & education
