New Student Success Center
We are renovating the top floor of the library for the new Student Success Center. The Center provides career services, advising, tutoring, peer mentoring, undergraduate research opportunities, transfer student services, and First-Year and Second-Year Experience programming.
The Student Success Center has continued to grow for the last 10+ years. It currently serves 87% of our student body. They've outgrown their space twice now.
Because of the Center, internships have increased by 25% for all majors. In the last two years, the number of grads employed or in grad school has also increased by 18%.
Our goal for the renovation is $2 million. We have $600,000 raised.
The funds will be used to preserve the beauty of the Chan Shun Centennial Library, updating areas that have begun to wear down after 30 years of heavy usage by students and community members alike. The purpose is to preserve the original aesthetic and to continue the legacy created 30 years ago of creating a space for academic excellence and achievement.
