Southwestern Adventist University is pleased to offer a Southwestern Union Freshman Scholarship for first-year students at the beginning of their college careers or transfer freshmen who, after a semester at their local community college or taking online courses, are now ready for an on-campus experience. Spring Semester begins January 18, 2021, and registration is open now.                                                                                                                                                                                                 
Students who live in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas or Oklahoma and commit to SWAU for spring 2021 are eligible to receive the $2,500 scholarship. The award is stackable with other scholarships and grants, but funds are limited and will be awarded based on date of enrollment.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    
The university is committed to providing resources that increase accessibility to education and promote success. Last year, SWAU proudly provided scholarships to three in four students, with an average award total of over $7,000, making a quality Christian education possible regardless of financial situation.                                                                                                                                                                                                 
“SWAU offers quality Christian education along with a fulfilling campus experience in a safe campus environment for students,” shares Rahneeka Hazelton, Vice President for Enrollment Management. “It is our goal with this additional $2,500 award for Spring 2021, to help students make the transition to SWAU easier during these uncertain times.”
