Southwestern Adventist University received a $500,000 gift for the Department of Biological Sciences. The gift comes from an anonymous donor of the University and will provide the department with an additional full-time faculty member for the next four years. The remaining part of the gift will support equipment needs in the areas of mathematics and science.  

“This gift will enhance our academics in a substantial way, both in terms of our staff and equipment that our students can use,” says Dr. Arthur Schwarz, department chair. “We are thankful for friends and alumni who believe in what we’re doing and show support. A gift like this has such an impact on our students and not just academically. Such tangible support encourages them in their endeavors.”
