We are sad to report that Del LaVerne Watson Saldecke passed away on December 14 at age 96. Born in Keene in July 1920, Dr. Saldecke was a Southwestern Junior College alumna in 1938 and a member of Southwestern's Committee of 100. She was a member of Keene Church for many years. Her nursing profession took her to a number of responsibilities around the United States in the course of her distinguished career. Most recently, she taught nursing at California State University. She returned to Keene in 2012, where her daughter Tanya cared for her these past four years.

A memorial service celebrating Dr. Saldecke's long life was held in at the Keene SDA Chapel on Wednesday, December 28, at 3:00 p.m. Please remember her family and friends in prayer.
